    You get access to the SWOC live-online course, the course textbook, the SWOC exam, CEUs, and the respective platforms used to deliver the course and exam.

    Day 1: (8:30am to 9:00am PST) Check in Welcome Lectures (9am to 6pm PST): Skin Science Dermatology Wound Science Wound Infection Patient Assessment Q&A There will be time for breaks and Q&A throughout the day, as well as a lunch break. -------------------------------------------------------------- Day 2: (8:30am to 9:00am PST) Check in Lectures (9am to 6pm PST): Pressure Injuries Venous Ulcers Arterial Ulcers Diabetic Ulcers Dressings/Support Surfaces Q&A There will be time for breaks and Q&A throughout the day, as well as a lunch break. --------------------------------------------------------- Day 3: (8:30am to 9:00am PST) Check in Lectures (9am to 7pm PST): KTU's and Skin Tears Debridement Surgical Alternatives Nutrition G-Tube and Ostomy Management Q&A There will be time for breaks and Q&A throughout the day, as well as a lunch break. ------------------------------------------------------------ Please note College of Long-Term Care reserves the right to change the schedule at any time.

    It typically takes 2-3 days to get to you from when it is shipped. We send out the books the day you register.

    There are breaks throughout the course, as well as a lunch break. You can also check the course schedule.
  • Is this a live course or a go at-your-own-pace course?
    This course is a live course, meaning that there will be an instructor present teaching at the course. You must be present during the course.
  • What do I need to register/take the course?
    To register for the course, you will need to fill out the registration form and pay at the time of registration. To take the course, you will need to be present at the course for all three days. Attendance will be taken for each lesson.
  • Who can register for the course?
    Any licensed nurse (LVN, LPN, or RN) in the United States can register for the course and take the exam.
  • Are there any CEUs given for this course?
    There will be a maximum of 22 CEUs given for the course. You must be present for every lecture (attendance will be taken) and answer 100% of the questions in every lecture to receive the appropriate number of CEUs for that lecture. The CEUs are given by the California Board of Registered Nursing and are valid for nurses in all 50 states as well as internationally.
  • Who can attend the course?
    Any licensed nurse (LVN, LPN, or RN) in the United States can attend the course.
  • Do I get a certification for taking this course?
    You do not get a certification for taking the SWOC course. The certification is achieved by taking and passing the SWOC certification exam.
  • Who is teaching the online course?
    The live course will be taught by Michelle Vazqueztell, BSN, RN, MS-BC, our Corporate Nurse Educator. Michelle has over 12 years of experience in nursing and teaching nurses.
  • Does this course make me a wound care/treatment nurse?
    This course does not make you a wound care or treatment nurse. The course will teach you a lot of the knowledge that is needed to be a successful wound care or treatment nurse, and the certification will also make you standout. However, you will need to apply for such positions.
